The client suffered a displaced fracture of her thigh requiring surgery and a non-displaced fracture of a bone in her foot. The fracture resulted in a difference in leg length which then caused a limp. The injuries also had an effect on the client's ability to work full time. Two weeks before trial was scheduled to start, NJM agreed to pay $460,000 to avoid defending RAM Law's claims before a jury.
